Yesterday, I watched A Cook at the South Pole.
Before that, I watched A Silent Voice.
And before that I watched Carol,
Ally, and Lion.

Oh, and I also saw Minion...
And I watched Begin Again for the second time...!

For anyone who doesn't know, "Pe-chan" is Neru's fellow Keyakizaka46 member Watanabe Rika. Her nickname is the name of her cat, Pe.

Here are the Japanese names of the films Neru saw: 

A Cook at the South Pole -- 南極料理人

A Silent Voice -- 聲の形
Carol -- キャロル
Ally  -- アリー
Lion -- ライオン
Minion -- ミニオン
Begin Again -- はじまりのうた

Only the first two are originally Japanese.

The Legend of Watanabe Rika

Here are some of the amazing moments in Berika's career. Mainly ponkotsu moments, but some mysteriously skillful moments. From 2channel, put together by a Japanese K46 news site, which called this: The Legend of Watanabe Rika.

It started on the very first day of their first training camp, when she left her suitcase in the train station and had to rush out to recover it (it was still there):

Seven members of Keyakizaka46 appeared on the popular morning show Mezamashi TV on Wednesday morning, with Moriya Akane taking a star turn.

Asked what her goal for the year was, Akanen said that it was to be a weather-caster on Mezamashi TV. The host asked what the weather in her heart was, and she replied that she was experiencing fine weather, and her smile was in full bloom. The rest of the members were all stifling laughter.



Finally Sugai stepped in to tell her to stop there. A 2channel comment thanked Yukka for providing a graceful exit. But really, Akanen was great!

Some actual style. Memi (centre) the closest to a French doll (of a kind) she has yet come. Kumi (left) in something that suits her image, if not her personality. And Kage having kicked soccer to the curb.

Miyawake Sakura and Yamazaki Rena talk about Keyakizaka46 in their blogs

In her blog for Tuesday, Miyawake Sakura of AKB48 and HKT48 says:

Berisa was outstanding.
Techi was terrific.
I loved the line of Berisa, Berika and Neru.

Neru lived on an island from age 3 until first grade. She says she was a short-haired tomboy.

Doesn't seem as if Zuumin was a tomboy.

Actually, the colours are the same as Kanji Keyaki's, but reversed!

Suzumoto Miyu: big watermelon, big help, big pictures

Suzumoto Miyu's grandmother gave her an enormous watermelon. She shared it with her fellow Keyaki-chans...and with us.

"My grandma sent me a watermelon. Does this show how big it is?"

Keyakizaka members' height changes

Several Keyakizaka members are taller than their officially reported height -- and one is shorter.

Hirate Yurina is listed at 160.2cm. She herself said recently on radio that she is now 164cm tall. Growth spurt. She hopes she won't get any taller.

Take a look at this photo, from Audition magazine:

Watanabe Rika (left) is listed at 165cm. Moriya Akane at 163cm. Shida Manaka is listed at 163cm, too. This clearly isn't true. She's at least 165cm. Watanabe Risa is listed at 163cm, but she is clearly the tallest here -- with all of them standing in the same plane, wearing similar shoes.


The Japanese source that tipped me off to this thinks Manaka is 167.5cm and Berisa 168 or taller.
