It seems my family went, too.

Good evening.

It's in a purely happy mood that I write this post.

Usually,
It takes me one or two days
Of adding and erasing to write a post.

But I don't want to forget this mood
So I'm just setting down my memories as they are.




There's a certain restaurant
That the technical people in the shooting team
Recommended.

So I went and ate dinner there.

It's a quiet place standing in a residential area,
A famous restaurant among the locals.


As I waited for the food,
No matter where my eyes fell was nice.

With what perfect timing
They brought the moist towel to wipe my hands! lol

It is 73 years since an atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.

As well as reverently praying for happiness in the next world
For those who made the sacrifice,
I offer sympathy to all those
Who are suffering even now.

I hope this will be a day when we feel at least a bit
That enjoying the life we are living
Is something we will naturally do.

Yesterday,
The Nagasaki Lantern Festival began!!!

What fun!

I will appear in the Emperor's Parade on the 24th.
From 2pm to 4 pm.

I'll be there as the Empress!!
I'm really looking forward to it.


I really, really want you to come for sure.
I mean to say, if you don't go, you'll be missing out.

There are so many different kinds of lanterns,
Beautiful and romantic...!

And as for things to eat,
Of course there will be kakunimanju pork dumplings, as well as sesame dumplings and yachimaki steamed rice packets.

Supremely delicious!!!

I also definitely want to eat the Nagasaki specialty hatoshi [shrimp toast]

I've been given the role of Empress in the Emperor's parade
At the 2018 Nagasaki Lantern Festival.

Although people in the Prefecture will know this already,
It's truly a startling honour. Unbelievable.

My grandmother was the happiest!

I will carry out my duty with everything I've got.

It's on February 24 from 2pm to 4pm!

This was posted at 5:35 on Tuesday. The first Hiragana Budoukan live started at 6pm, and Neru was in the VIP seats, with Pon and Mona. At a couple of points -- Dare Tobe in particular -- Neru and Pon were up dancing in their seats.

The Nagasaki Lantern Festival appears to be a big deal. It's a tourist festival based on the traditional Chinese Lantern festival that comes two weeks after Lunar New Year. I believe the Nagasaki festival carries on for about two weeks. Here are some photos. The Emperor and Empress are carried through the streets in palanquins borne by 20 men or so. Neru's Emperor will be the president of Nagasaki University, a famous medical researcher and administrator.

The festival seems to take over downtown, spreading out from Chinatown. It attracts about a million visits each year.
