Keyakizaka46 member popularity on Twitter: Neru and the rest

One way of judging members' popularity is by counting mentions in Twitter profiles. A member's name in someone's Twitter profile is a clear indication of support.

Someone on 2channel tabulates mentions in Twitter profiles every month. Here is the situation as of April 10. Neru is still the clear leader, followed over a thousand mentions back by Mona and Risa, then Hirate and Zuumin.

The first figure is as of April 10. The number in parentheses is the change since March 9. Hiragana in pink.

1. Nagahama Neru
2. Shida Manaka
3. Watanabe Risa
4. Hirate Yurina
5. Imaizumi Yui
6. Sugai Yuuka
7. Watanabe Risa
8. Kobayashi Yui
9. Moriya Akane
10. Koike Minami

Story about Kakizaki Memi from Asahi Shinbun Nagano edition

There's column about Memi in the Asahi Shimbun newspaper (Nagano edition).

It mentions the fact that she started wanting to be an idol because she loved Nogizaka46 so much. When she went to a handshake event, she broke down in tears meeting Saitou Asuka. She told the newspaper she wanted to become someone who can have that kind of emotional effect on others.

But she adds that she is bad at expressing emotion, and tends to keep strong feelings to herself. She has sad this in interviews before. However, she wants to gradually mature so that eventually she can become centre.

The column is called "Nagano Idol Vanguard" and emphasizes that she is the only Nagano-area member of Keyakizaka46. It exaggerates how far she is along the path to becoming centre, and gets the number of Hiragana songs on each CD wrong. But it's a pretty nice piece.

There was a friendly exchange between Memi and a guest at the portrait-drawing session on Sunday that mentions the newspaper piece. I believe the guest is called Tomo4Neru on Twitter, and is a frequent guest at Memi's handshake events.

Good evening,
It's Kakizaki Memi.

When I put down the elastics I use to hold my twintails, they somehow made a cute face (lol).

Beside them are some new monster stamps I like.
Cute (*

Yesterday was a special event: portrait-making!
To all those who came, I'm sorry my portraits didn't look like you (lol).
Even though I didn't draw well, it was so much fun  (*^^*)

I did Harada Aoi-san's portrait there!

Does it look like her ~?
