Keyakizaka46 member-drawn greeting cards for December 2017, with translations

The Kanji and Hiragana Keyaki members' hand-drawn greeting cards for December. This month, the most striking cards for me are from usual suspects in Kanji Keyaki: Koike, Kobayashi and Naako. In Hiragana, Memi's calligraphy is always a pleasure to read, but overall Katou Shiho's card was the one I liked best.

But no card from Techi again this month.

Koike Minami 小池美波-- December has begun. Christmas comes this month. What is everyone asking Santa for? Merry Christmas.

Techi's November greeting card -- she forgot, but here it is

Hirate Yurina has posted her November greeting card -- two days late:

"November. I apologize. I forgot. Hirate Yurina."

When the greeting cards came out, Techi's wasn't there. Now it is.

Is this the first time she has drawn herself as an otter? Probably not, but it's the first I remember (if that is an otter). She and everyone else says she looks like an otter (a river otter, not a sea otter). If she had followed her previous pattern, she would have drawn "Master Painter" portraits of the six members who have birthdays this month. I prefer the otter, lol.

Keyakizaka46 Member Greeting Cards for November 2017

This is a good month for members' greeting cards. Lots of effort put into them. I wonder if that means the 2gens will start next month, and the members are setting a standard. One thing: no card from Hirate Yurina this month. Here are three good cards, then all the rest:

Kobayashi Yui 小林由依 -- Excellent card yet again. "Chibis of the members with November birthdays: Takamoto Ayaka, Iguchi Mao, Moriya Akane, Koike Minami, Satou Shiori, Shida Manaka, Sugai Yuuka. I'm really into Keyaki no Kiseki, and I made this based on it, with an arrangement of autumn flavours. Please treat me well again this month." A lot of work involved here. Imagine doing chibi-portraits of seven members!

Keyakizaka46 member greeting-cards for October 2017

This month, just about all of the Hiraganas' cards are excellent: Memi, Takamoto, Toshi-chan, etc., etc.

On the other hand it's a bit of a down month for Kanji, partly because Satou Shiori does something much simpler than usual. But Koike and Kobayashi are still excellent, and I like this month's pig card from Fuu-chan.

But the big plus for Kanji is that Imaizumi has a card this month:

Imaizumi Yui 今泉佑唯 -- "I want to go looking for taro. Please tell me about some gourmet taro dishes. I really look forward to seeing you all soon."

Keyakizaka member-drawn greeting cards for September, with some translation

Keyakizaka46 (Kanji and Hiragana) member-drawn greeting cards for September. Well-drawn cards this time from Shii-chan, Mii-chan, Naako and Pon, as usual; and also from Memi, whose middle-school art-club presidency is showing.

Nice work from Uemuu, who wants to learn to draw better. Oda Nana, Fuu-chan, Kyonko, Manafii, Higashimura....

Here they are -- Kanjis first; and Hiraganas second, starting with Neru. No card from Imaizumi yet.

KANJI KEYAKI

Ishimori Nijika 石森虹花 -- Dynamism. I have things I want to do and that I want to communicate, and I will do them actively. Let's enjoy September together.

Keyakizaka46 August member greeting cards (with some translation)

Here are the members' greeting cards for August. I saw a comment that the Hiraganas' cards (the 12 at the bottom of the page here) have too many words on them! Lots of comments about the national tour, TIF, summer foods, and the heat.

Nijika: "This August, every day is Keyakizaka Day!" Koike's card is excellent as usual. Yui-chan (Kobayashi) and Aoi both do good maps of the national tour. Shii-chan's formal kanji suggest she thinks this month will be frantic. Yukka's Tom on a desert island is fun. Miyu's little fish seem to be moving quickly (like her). Naako gives us two comics this month. Hirate's portrait is as awful as usual, and even more mysterious. Katoshi's bears are growing on me. Kyonko does a vivid page of fireworks. No card from Zumiko.

Keyakizaka46 member greeting cards for July 2017

Here are the members' greeting cards for July, in Japanese alphabetical order (i.e., kana order).

Best Satou Shiori card yet, in my opinion. The kanji for "physical strength" or "stamina" portrayed as people, with the lower one kicking off her loafer (as in the Eccentric choreography). Nijika also refers to physical strength: the members all know this will be a tough summer.

Another great card from Koike Minami, and Kobayashi Yui just gets better and better. I'm beginning to get used to Fuu-chan's cards featuring a pig that seems to be her self-image. I still wish it weren't.

A new manga from Naako, showing Mii-chan putting on one of those big down coats they wear to keep warm...and finding candies in the pocket, left by a previous wearer.

Hirate does another of her terrible "master painter" portraits of this month's birthday girls: Risa and Habu.

Memi and Neru both ask what people's wishes are on Tanabata -- then both say their own wishes are secret. Both these people have a natural inclination to tease. Saitou Kyouko says her own wish is that Hiragana Keyaki becomes a group everyone loves.

Higashimura Mei's card is pretty and charming. I like Sasaki Mirei's, too, but I do wonder what Hikoboshi is doing to/with Orihime at the lower left.

Keyakizaka46 members' June greeting cards

Keyakizaka members' personally-drawn greeting cards for June. Kanji members first, then Hiragana members.

Lots of good cards this month. Special efforts from Kobayashi Yui and Moriya Akane. The Satou Shiori card I've enjoyed most.  Another manga from Naako. Something simple but good from Habu. Nice drawing from Berika. And I always enjoy Memi's simple art.

No card from Imaizumi: she's still not well enough to take part in group activities, it appears.

Kanji Keyaki

Ishimori Nijika 石森虹花 -- Summer's coming, but first a month filled with rain. I hate rain, but I'll ignore it and have a good month.
