Nagahama Neru blog: Handshake, New Year's TV, twintails

Tidying Up

Nagahama Neru
2018.01.19

Good evening

I watched the New Year's videos on
First Errand (Hajimete no Otsukai).

Lots of wonderful places and people appeared.
It reminded me of when I was little, on Gojima.

I really wanted to go back ( ´・_・` )

Everyone there is like a family.
I love, love, love that town.

Watching over those little "great adventures,"
The disguised cameramen were warm and kindly, too.

The music echoed in my tear ducts. Phew.

I also wanted to meet Sandwich Man again.

Kakizaki Memi: Ushio Sarina talks about Memi's injury

Memi and Sarina
As she recuperates from her broken wrist, Kakizaki Memi is quiet on the blog front, and is just returning to Message -- including a mention that she'd like to get back to Nagano and see some snow.

But Ushio Sarina, in her blog, goes into a bit more detail about the accident:

"On our last day of roller-skating practice, during the last check, Memi fell. Asked, 'Are you okay?' she answered, 'I'm fine!!' with a smile. But just to be sure, they said they'd take her to the hospital.

We kept on with our lessons.

While we were still there practicing, Memi came back wearing a cast. I burst into tears and couldn't stop crying. I remembered how Memi looked saying we would definitely make a success of this live, and my tears flowed even more.

I hadn't felt so upset in a long time.

Memi's eyes were full of tears, but she was still smiling.

I was so happy to be able to sing that final
W-KEYAKIZAKA no Uta together.

During lessons and during the live, Memi was always with us!! Everyone's feelings were one.

Thank you, Memi."

Sasaki Mirei Birthday Festival

Sasaki Mirei 佐々木美玲 of Hiragana Keyaki turned 17 on December 12th. Hers was one of three birthday celebrations held Saturday at  the handshake event in Chiba, (along with Saitou Fuyuka's and Katou Shiho's).

Her handshake lane was decorated, a programme was printed, Sasaki Kumi presented her with flowers, and Ushio Sarina read her a birthday message.

Mii-pan, as she is known, has become an important person in Hiragana Keyaki. She is much younger than the older members and only a bit older than the youngest members, but has become someone everyone relies on.

She is simply a solid and capable person. In the Hiragana Omotenashikai last October, she led the amazing chorus club that did good unaccompanied versions of Silent Majority, Sekai ni wa Ai Shika Nai, and Hiragana Keyaki.

Members are starting to call her "mama." She complained recently that Memi and Manafi were calling her "Mii-Papa."

"At least call me Mii-Mama," she joked.

She is the only member with actual experience as an idol, having been a member of the Kansai young-teen idol group choco☆milQ for a couple of years, until it disbanded in November 2015.

She comes from Kobe, and her family is rumoured to be fairly well-off. She spent about three years living in Taiwan when she was around 4-7 years old, and can speak some Chinese.

Here is Sarina's letter, followed by some more photos:

Ushio Sarina blog post: my best Christmas ever

This Christmas is my best Christmas ever.
So many firsts. So much joy.

Sorry I'm late.
Thank you very much to all of you who came to the Ariake Coliseum live
Or watched the live broadcast on AbemaTV.

That Hiragana Keyaki was allowed to appear in this first one-man live fills me with happiness and gratitude.

This is probably the most people I have ever stood in front of, and it is certainly the most beautiful light I have ever been surrounded by.

Lights of many colours shone, one by one, and when I was surrounded by that light I had a feeling of great blessing. The feeling of everyone's warmth toward us.

Hiragana Keyaki -- Their time is coming, but please not yet

Kaizaki memi and Katou Shiho
The senbatsu for Keyakizaka46's third single will be announced next Sunday on the Keyakitte, Kakenai? TV show. Some people are saying a couple of Hiragana Keyaki members should be included.

I am a big fan of a number of the Hiraganas, but I say: not yet.

For one thing, don't break up a winning combination. The 21-member Keyakizaka46 senbatsu has done great things over the past six months, and has grown in competence in every way. And the massive, disciplined senbatsu makes a special impression.

For another thing, I don't think the Hiraganas can be ready. Look at how much more prepared the main group is than it was a few months ago. No matter how cute, interesting, and talented the Hiraganas are -- and I think several of them are all three -- they have not had time to be forged into the kind of performers the Kanji Keyakis have become. Maybe in the spring....

Meanwhile, let's see them as regulars on the Keyakake TV show. I think it won't take long for them to become less nervous, to get to know the Kanjis better, and to gain popularity. Then it may be time to think about how to give some of them a bigger performing role.

As I say, that does not mean I am not a fan. Let's take a look at a few recent photos of members of Hiragana Keyaki:

Memi finds two four-leaf clovers

Kakizaki Memi is management's tentative choice for centre among the new members of Hiragana Keyaki. Fortune seems to favour her in other ways, too: she recently found two four-leaf clovers.

"I wasn't looking for them at all!
I was really just walking along and happened to see them
Luckyyy ( ´罒`*)✧
It's nice when good things happen ~♪"

Ushio Sarina (Hiragana Keyaki) -- blog post after weekend handshake event

Here's Sarina's blog post from just after the weekend's handshake event in Nagoya. How can you not love her? So pretty. So real. So insecure. So sweet on Showroom. And, from what we have seen, such a good dancer (see end of post).

Powawawawawawa~n ( ˊ〇ˋ )♡

Hello.

I've intended to write every day, but by the time I notice, there's already not enough time left.
I began to write a daily diary, but it ended up with just scattered entries and no entries at all over two months...

I've always been someone who starts things but doesn't finish (´ ・ω・ `)
I want to do it somehow. I have to cure myself of this.

Yesterday and the day before was our first handshake event!!
Thank you to everyone who came ( ´ ` )♡

As I wrote before, I came out in a rash and was so uneasy and nervous that I couldn't sleep.

But little by little, everyone's words helped my nervousness go away!

The kind words of even people who were supporters of Shihorin and Memi-tan made me so happy. [Sarina was paired up with Katou Shiho and Kakizaki Memi for the events.]

The Keyakizaka46-sans, and everyone, were extremely nice. It was such a lovely time ♡

Ushio Sarina's first blog post (Hiragana Keyaki)

Good evening! How do you do! Please be good to me!

Ushio Sarina
2016.08.02

Hello, everyone. It's Ushio Sarina!
From today, I've been given a blog to write!
I'll be happy if you have time to look at it a bit ♡

To begin, today I'll do a short self-introduction ♪

I'm Ushio Sarina, from Kanagawa, age 18, blood type O.
The kanji in "Sarina" are easy to get wrong
So I'll be happy if we can remember that I am Sarina 紗理菜, who is bad at physics (rika 理科) and likes green vegetables (na 菜)!

My favorite foods are kumquats, green vegetables, and all kinds of Japanese food.
But kumquats only come in winter, so I can't eat them now ( > <。)
These days, I love the shabu salad that my mother often makes. [this seems to be a salad with thin slices of boiled meat on top and a fairly strong-tasting dressing]
I have lots of other favorite foods I will write about.

My special skills are short-rope skipping and horizontal bar gymnastics. \( ˆoˆ )/
I'd really like to be able to show you them someday!
