At the moment the date changed?


I can say "Reiwa,"
But I'm still not used to it.
I somehow feel a bit embarrassed...

Just a month ago,
There was no such word in this world.
But as soon as those unexpected kanji became the notation
We're seeing it all the time in magazine headlines

I've been listening to the album,
Masshiro na Mono ha Yogoshitakunaru.

Ballet to Shounen
Shoujo ni Modorenai
and Chinmoku Shita Koibito.

Today is an eternal repeat day for these three songs.
I really love them.

Adding the dance movements to them
Makes me love them even more.


I've begun watching Kan Jam
(Because Takahiro-sensei was going to be on)
To learn to notice the fine points of how a song is made.

And I think how rich
Keyakizaka songs are.

The lyrics, of course,
But the melody and the instrumentation and the sound effects...!
I want to analyze them in detail.

In her blog, Moriya Akane reports that recording of the new drama has gone to a new location in a natural area, by a river.

She says that lots of members like nature, but that Suzumoto was the group's #1 child of nature. She went straight for the river and walked in the cold water:

I work hard all week in anticipation of this drama.

Every word of the script touches my heartstrings.
I really love it.

The expression in the script

I just somehow got a sense of what they meant...

Shida: That's what I had understood. But when I saw the feature's title, I thought: "...what?"

-- You mean that the title became "Manaka's toy"?

Shida: "What's all this?" I thought. (Laughs.)

-- During the interview, we noticed that Shida-san toying with them was funny, and it made Watanabe-san and Oda-san funny. So we quickly changed the title.

Ah. At the handshake event, Risa and Akanen and I chased each other around.
I was just determined to run away.
Those two are really scary.
I seriously ran away. Lol.
They're scary, really.

Then what was it....

We ran around screaming and so on. Was that what we did? Lol.

It was so much fun to be with everybody 〜( ´ ▽ ` )

I may come to look like an adult, but in my heart I want to stay 17 forever.

I want everyone in Keyaki and I to keep on playing around and laughing this much ~!

Let's not become adults at all!!

I'm sorry for taking so long
To talk about this in my blog.
I, Sugai Yuuka, have now received appointment
As Keyakizaka46's captain.
And Moriya Akane has been appointed vice-captain.

It was a surprise announcement at the national handshake event the day before yesterday,
And I was very surprised!

As an older member, I am grateful for
The many chances I have gotten up to now:
To lead the shout in the pre-performance circle,
To be a representative to the media,
And to have responsibility for being MC at lives.

When it came to things that required desperate efforts to handle,
Before I joined Keyakizaka I was the type of person who always followed behind others.

I was completely unfamiliar with this kind of thing.

"Is this really okay for someone like me...?"
It's pitiful that it was always at times like these
That such thoughts rushed in on me
And I felt unsure (><)

But I won't be hesitant any more!

Having received the appointment as captain
I will trust in the members
And in my own strength!

Seven members of Keyakizaka46 appeared on the popular morning show Mezamashi TV on Wednesday morning, with Moriya Akane taking a star turn.

Asked what her goal for the year was, Akanen said that it was to be a weather-caster on Mezamashi TV. The host asked what the weather in her heart was, and she replied that she was experiencing fine weather, and her smile was in full bloom. The rest of the members were all stifling laughter.



Finally Sugai stepped in to tell her to stop there. A 2channel comment thanked Yukka for providing a graceful exit. But really, Akanen was great!

"Ikemen" Memi...and should she not have chosen green/green?

In her blog today, Sasaki Kumi of Hiragana Keyaki publishes a photo she says shows the "ikemen" side of Kakizaki Memi (the good-looking guy side).

Kumi says that it's amazing how Memi just gets more and more like an adult. Memi gets mad every time she says that, she adds.

I'm not sure how Memi will react to criticism that she chose green/green as her colours on Wednesday. Some voices on 2channel say those colours are sacred ground, representing the group as a whole and two Hirate songs (Yamanotesen and Silent Majority).

I see their point, but I look at it a different way. To me, she is identifying herself with the group, rather than just as an individual. I can think of it as another version of Hirate's refusal to choose any colours. But it could stop people who do not support her from waving the usual Keyakizaka green/green, which were the colours that brought tears to several Keyaki-chans' eyes at their first concert in March.

Keyakizaka46 members have produced some great blog posts about the second night of the FNS song festival on Wednesday, but there are so many that I've had trouble deciding what to do with them. Finally, in desperation, here are some photos of Keyaki-chans with friends and idols from the idol world -- with captions bringing in some of what the members said.

Triumphant FNS: Neru, Akanen, Hirate, Ozeki all shine

It was another step up the hill for Keyakizaka46 Wednesday night at the second night of Fuji TV's FNS Song Festival.

• Hirate sang with the Gospellers
• Akanen won a 50m footrace with other idols
• Neru centred the combined forces of the Hiraganas and Nogizaka46's 3rd gen to begin a great Nogi/Keyaki combined version of Seifuku no Mannequin that was the best idol performance of the evening
• Ozeki's sunny smile won hearts when she was singing with HKT's Miyawaki Sakura 

Neru was the big winner, in my opinion. In beginning Mannequin, she was preceded by two beautiful young members of Nogi 3gen...but when Neru came forward with her unsmiling smile, she brought an aura of peace and power. And she proved by her sharp dancing there that she actually can be a centre. Search stats show she was by far the most searched member of the new groups.

Hirate and Akanen take a trip to Kamakura

In Moriya Akane's blog post Friday morning, she describes a brief trip she and Hirate Yurina made together to Kamakura and Enoshima. Kamakura is an ancient capital with many tourist sites. Enoshima is a pretty island off its coast ans is another tourist site. Here's Nen's blog post:

It was a gourmet trip:
Seafood, etc. Hand-made udon noodles, etc.
