Suzumoto Miyu: big watermelon, big help, big pictures

Suzumoto Miyu's grandmother gave her an enormous watermelon. She shared it with her fellow Keyaki-chans...and with us.

"My grandma sent me a watermelon. Does this show how big it is?"

"Miyu-chan brought a watermelon and invited everyone to have some. It was amazingly huge! I love watermelon!" (from Neru's blog)

In last week's KeyaKake TV show, one of the games between the two teams (the ten who scored higher on the general-knowledge test and the eleven who scored lower) was trying to pack as many people as possible onto a little dais. After the "fools" team had won and was exploding off the dais, Uemura Rina fell. Miyu was the only one to notice and come to her aid (click all images to enlarge):

Miyu-chan has been spoken of as being a nasty person, or the "evil stepsister." I think this is a misreading of her serious, driven, anxious but basically nice character.

And finally, in Overture magazine #7, Miyu-chan, Techi, Berika and Pon worked together in a photo session that Pon described as having "a unique atmosphere; it was not like being in Japan at all." It did produce some great photos, however. Here are one photo from the shoot and several off-shots. Miyu-chan has been the centre of attention in comments on the photos, particularly for her imperious expression in the first photo and her abandonment to laughter in the second ("rising to heaven"):
