Suzumoto Miyu blog: Imaizumi Yui's graduation

Overcast

Suzumoto Miyu
2018.11.05

Hello.

Thank you very much to everyone who made their way to the handshake event yesterday.

Yesterday Imaizumi gave her graduation address.

Standing behind her watching her speak brought it home to me again: she really is graduating.

Honestly, it made me feel so lonely and sad.

Looking at all the past photos and so on made me envy my past self.

I will support her activities from now on, from the shadows.

Always cheerful Imaizumi
Thank you for everything!

Nagahama Neru blog: 73rd anniversary of the Nagasaki atomic bomb. Zumiko's graduation.

Good morning.

Today, August 9th,
It is 73 years since an atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.

As well as reverently praying for happiness in the next world
For those who made the sacrifice,
I offer sympathy to all those
Who are suffering even now.

I hope this will be a day when we feel at least a bit
That enjoying the life we are living
Is something we will naturally do.

Nagahama Neru Blog: inexpressible feelings

Good evening.

Yesterday, the senbatsu was announced.

I decided to put together how I was feeling in a blog post...

But then I wondered if they were really my honest feelings,
Or if I was expressing them properly,
And I wondered how they would come across to readers, etc....

So it just ended up with me thinking
That it was too difficult to put my feelings into words...!!!

Someday, my mind will catch up to the situation, and I will write.

This alone is certain:
As we continue our explorations, the entire Keyakizaka46 team
Will work hard, body and soul, on the 4th single.

Imaizumi Yui's blog post about the senbatsu changes in Keyakizaka46

Imaizumi Yui has finally broken her silence about the changes in the senbatsu, and the fact that she has been put in the second row.

She has made two posts since the announcements: she didn't mention the senbatsu at all in the first, and she just promised in the last line of the second to say something about it the next time. And she has.

Zuumin is very ambitious. She has singing talent and has made herself a good dancer, and she has always seen herself as Hirate Yurina's rival for centre. This seeming demotion must have been a hard blow, very disorienting for her. I think it is less a demotion than just a hiatus to give others a chance to show themselves. The second row she is part of is the solid middle of the group, its bulwark and strength. The people management thinks can be depended on.

Despite what must be bitter disappointment, she seems to have responded as well as she possibly could, offering her support to Hirate and the new front members, and promising to work hard for the sake of the group. Like Yui, I have included no photos in this serious post.

Senbatsu Announcement

Good evening!

For the third single
I have been selected for the 8th position, in the second row.

For the first and second singles, when I assumed a position in the front, I was worried that my inability would cause problems, so I gave my all to the performance.

Honestly, I was really scared.
I wondered if it was okay for someone with no dance experience to be in front.

Neru, Imaizumi and other Keyakizaka members as little kids

After a few months of "my history" features narrated by members on their birthdays, the Keyakitte Kakenai TV show has built up a collection of baby/toddler pictures. Here they are so far:

This week, it was Neru and Zuumin's turn:

Neru lived on an island from age 3 until first grade. She says she was a short-haired tomboy.

Doesn't seem as if Zuumin was a tomboy.

What the Hiragana Keyakis think we should look at about them

Here's a poster from HMV stores in Japan. It gives the members of Hiragana Keyaki a chance to say what we should pay attention to about each of them. A number of Japanese commenters have things to say about what Saitou Kyouko writes.

top row:
Iguchi Mao: "Please watch over me as I gradually become more like an idol."

Ushio Sarina: "I'll be happy if you look at me just as I am."

Imaizumi Yui on the new senbatsu

For Imaizumi Yui, it's a very different situation from Suzumoto Miyu, who has been dropped from the front line, or Watanabe Risa, who has been put there for the first time. She has just been moved one place away from the centre, but still prominent on the end of the front line.

However, she has lost her singing partner Kobayashi Yui, who was beside her before but will now be behind her left shoulder. Here's her post-announcement blog post:

Will it come out in the wash?

I spilled cafe au lait on a pure white dress.

"Throw it away!" I said to my mother.

"It'll come out if it's washed," she replied coolly (´._.`) lol

It seems to have come out. What a relief!

Did you watch Keyakitte Kakenai?

It was the announcement of the senbatsu for the second single.

From the position I've been given, I want to show everyone a performance that only I can give.

With everyone together, I want to continue climbing the hill, bit by bit.

Koike Minami's fear of flying

In her Sunday blog post, Imaizumi Yui tells the story of sitting beside Koike Minami on the flight back to Tokyo from Nagasaki on Saturday evening.

Even before the plane started moving, Mii-chan told her she was scared of planes. When it did start to move, tears sprang to her eyes. And when it actually started racing down the runway, Mii-chan grabbed Zuumin's arm, buried her head against her and was weeping and crying out loud.

Keyakizaka46 Nagasaki festival report

Keyakizaka46 played the Huis ten Bosch outdoor music festival on Saturday in Nagasaki.

They did a 25-minute set including Yamanote Sen, Silent Majority, a new overture film, and Te wo Tsunaide Kaerou ka. Comments on 2channel said the group did well in this "away" appearance.

Then a group of them came back on stage for a talk session with former AKB48 star Takahashi Minami, who acted as MC.

In this photo of the finale of Te wo Tsunaide, you can see in the back row the blue Hiragana Keyaki uniform worn by Nagahama Neru. She was subbing for Nagasawa Nanako, who had to stay home because of school.

In her comments for wake-up television, Kobayashi Yui said that this is the first time they've performed outdoors, and it was really exciting. I had a video from the TV show, but it has been taken down from YouTube.

Keyakizaka members' height changes

Several Keyakizaka members are taller than their officially reported height -- and one is shorter.

Hirate Yurina is listed at 160.2cm. She herself said recently on radio that she is now 164cm tall. Growth spurt. She hopes she won't get any taller.

Take a look at this photo, from Audition magazine:

Watanabe Rika (left) is listed at 165cm. Moriya Akane at 163cm. Shida Manaka is listed at 163cm, too. This clearly isn't true. She's at least 165cm. Watanabe Risa is listed at 163cm, but she is clearly the tallest here -- with all of them standing in the same plane, wearing similar shoes.

The Japanese source that tipped me off to this thinks Manaka is 167.5cm and Berisa 168 or taller.

Mana-tan with Neru and the Keyakis (pics)

In her Monday blog post, Akimoto Matasu wrote about meeting Keyakizaka members on Saturday:

...

Recently, the Keyaki-chans had their handshake event near ours.
I was able to speak with some of them ~♪
And take a few photos!

Nagahama Neru

I'm still texting with Neru, as always♪
To have someone who works so hard in difficult circumstances depend on me...
She's such a cute little sister (*^^*)

Imaizumi Yui's brother lines up to shake hands with Suzumoto Miyu

In her blog, Zuumin says it seems that her brother lined up at the handshake event on Saturday to shake hands with Suzumoto Miyu.

Zuumin (left) and Miyu-chan, at the handshake event.
Zuumin thanks Miyu-chan for doing it, lol.

The handshake event was in Yokohama, which is the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture, where the Imaizumis live.

Imaizumi Yui quashes a rumour

A tweeter claimed Saturday that he and Imaizumi Yui talked at that day's Yokohama handshake event about communicating by text-message.

Apparently alerted by staff, Zuumin immediately blogged that it was not true and more or less threatened to stop doing handshake events if this kind of false claim continued to be made.

The tweets claimed that in two visits to her line on Saturday, he gave her his handle and they talked about texting each other. She replied in her blog that it never happened. She said the report shocked and saddened her, and apologized to her fans for it.
