Hello.

We've burst into the Reiwa Era.
What was everyone doing yesterday
At the moment the date changed?

I can say "Reiwa,"
But I'm still not used to it.
I somehow feel a bit embarrassed...

Just a month ago,
There was no such word in this world.
But as soon as those unexpected kanji became the notation
We're seeing it all the time in magazine headlines
Society's powers of adaptation are amazing.

I'll leave that now.

But it's so exciting!
It feels like New Year's!

Here I'll post the photos I mentioned recently:

[Koike Minami]

[Watanabe Miho]

[Sasaki Kumi]

[Habu Mizuho]

[Moriya Akane]

Cute...

Thank you for reading.

In Message, Neru is pouring out answers to fans' questions: 49 posts on Thursday alone. But nary a mention of the Budoukan lives Thursday-Friday-Saturday of this week. With the end coming, I want to be a bit looser about communicating things from Message (photos aside):

She's a dog person rather than a cat person, but a bunny person above all.

She doesn't wear sneakers much, but owns Reebok and Converse.

If she were to meet her younger self, what advice would she give her? None. She regrets nothing. She would take the same road.

Paper books or electronic books? Paper books, because she likes bookstores.

White-fleshed fish (e.g., tai, hirame) or red-fleshed fish (e.g., tuna, salmon) for sushi and sashimi? White-fleshed fish. She was raised on it.

What flower does she like? Baby's breath. (She has said this before, a couple of years ago or more.)

Is she physically well right now? "You are all so nice. I'm in good health!"

What is she going to do in the future? Since she can't tell us everything yet, she hopes we will accept her being vague about it. She really apologizes, especially since people are giving her such support. She just wants to enjoy the remaining time with Keyakizaka. In handshake, she can only say she doesn't know.

Theme song for Thursday? Beautiful Day, by Donavon Frankenreiter.

  1. Reiwa: weird feeling, this ornate, symbolic handover of power, mostly because it deeply affects so many people and institutions there, so the ripple effect is huge (much as it is in the UK). Japan's if anything a country founded on balancing rapid technological progress with staunch adherence to strict societal mores... but is currently as divided on many levels as the rest of the world, even us here in the US (which by any standard, is most-divided it's been in history, excluding the Civil War).

Miichan definitely cute-ifies with lighter hair... which doesn't work as well for SuzuMiyu, despite being a favorite Keyaki of mine :P

Hii girls... they'll go far -- even surpassing their former group. HINABINGO! #04 showed even more of the versatility and combo of variety talent I first glimpsed in the Keyakake bungee episode a year ago.

Akanen: my #1 Keyaki... she's outgrowing her 'gunsai' character, getting more feminine as time goes by. Sad a little, to see her desperate, all-or-nothing make way... but we all grow up sometime :)
