Kakizaki Memi blog: Photos of flowers and Memi

Flowers

Kakizaki Memi
2017.05.16

Good evening.
It's Kakizaki Memi.

Today I'm posting photos of the flowers and things I received at yesterday's handshake event!

Thank you so very much <(_ _*)>

They made me happy (﹡ˆ﹀ˆ﹡)

That's Toshi-chan beside me.

Bye-bye.

Only the first two flowers pictures were flowers especially for Memi. The last three were flowers for the whole group, congratulating them on their first anniversary. But I'll take all the photos of Memi I can get, especially since these helped reconcile me to her off-the-forehead hairstyle.

  1. I'd like to thank you again for your dedication to this blog, which I've been reading for about a year now. I'm particularly grateful for your translation of the long magazine interview with Hirate, which I read when my personal circumstances were a bit depressing, and it cheered me up and helped take my mind off things.

I also enjoy reading your posts as ukifune on the K46 forums on Stage48. You're very well informed and thoughtful.

I hope this doesn't come across as being too stalkerish, but I do wonder about you. You don't reveal anything of yourself here - I don't even know if you're a man or a woman.

My conclusions from reading your posts: You're male, over 30, live somewhere in East Asia or Oceania, probably in a Commonwealth nation (I'll go out on a limb and say Singapore), wear glasses, own at least 100 books, are not in a relationship.

It would be nice to know a bit more about you. But no pressure! I guess you want to stay anonymous.

Also, I don't really understand your obsession with Kakizaki Memi. I mean she's very cute but . . . I guess I don't understand how you can be so interested in someone who isn't a member of Kanji Keyaki, since the Hiraganas aren't in Senbatsu and don't appear on Keyakitte Kakenai? (as far as I know - I'm only up to episode 30). What was it that made you fall for her? She has 101 entries on this blog compared with a mere 36 for Suzumoto!

Hmmmm . . . Your first four posts about her specifically are:

I guess I should read them again and maybe answer my own question :D

  2. Ah, I see. The reason there are so many Memi posts is because she blogs a lot more often than the other members you are interested in.

  3. The number of posts is because of the blog, to some extent. And also because of the fact that no-one else seems to be covering her. The original interest came from seeing her Showroom auditions. I really think there is something special there, and that it will eventually become obvious to more people than just me, lol.

There was then -- and is now according to others who have actually seen her in person -- a special air of calm about her. In those auditions a year ago, young as she was, she was able to calmly watch the questions come in and answer the ones she wanted to, without any feeling of effort or panic, despite obviously being nervous about the whole thing.

This fascinated me from the beginning, and now I am waiting for her to be able to bring out in more normal idol activities the personality that was easier to see in that simpler setting. The directness and simplicity of her blog seems very Keyaki-like to me, and does reflect the personality I found interesting from the start.

I'd say that Neru, Techi and Memi are the three members in whom I see some kind of entertainment magic. We'll see if Memi proves me as right as the other two are doing.
