In her blog post, Nanako says she looks forward to having more chances to work with them, and to becoming good friends. She says their song keeps running in her head, especially the lines: "Like hiragana, we will just honestly be ourselves." (Hiragana are simple Japanese syllabic letters, as opposed to the more complex Chinese characters that are also part of the Japanese writing system.)
I can't help noticing a few things in the photo. For one, the tall Sasaki Kumi -- the real big sister in the group -- is crouching a bit so she will not be too much taller than the people near her. Quite responsible. For another, I note again the bright, short-skirted style Nanako seems to prefer. She was wearing something like this in a video of practice for Kataru nara Mirai wo.
And just to the right of Nanako, look at how Katou Shiho's red Adidases are nervously twisted -- and then how her face seems a bit sour. That appears to be how she looks when she's nervous. It's quite a surprise when you have watched her relaxed and engaging conversation on Showtime.
And, of course, there's Harada Aoi of Kanji Keyaki hiding her face -- and Takase Mana hiding hers. They are both to some degree control freaks, I believe, and nervous of having their photos taken under less-than-ideal conditions.
As Keyakizaka46 becomes a larger, 32-member group, it's nice to see members like Nanako, Mii-chan, Uemura and Akanen trying to get closer to the new members. I'm not sure why Neru hasn't been the one doing that. I know she was a little overwhelmed by their active, cheery style when she first met them, and said she worried that they would not mix well with the rest of Keyakizaka46. No problem so far, it seems.
