Yesterday, she showed me her old photos!
Apparently, people used to say how like an adult she was.
Looking at the photos, she really seems more adult-looking than now.

MeiMei and Memi are the two cutie-pies in 1st-gen Hiragana, the young-looking moe characters. At first, Memi was far more popular, but MeiMei's popularity has grown and she has now passed Memi in handshake sales. That's despite, or because of, the fact that Meimei is 19 and Memi barely 16.
MeiMei also appears to be Memi's rival for the friendship of Sasaki Kumi, who has decidedly cooled on Memi's aggressive affection and turned to the cute young thing who is closer to her age. MeiMei's little dig about Memi looking more adult before may say something about the relationship between them.
MeiMei's star is still rising, I believe. But it appears that Memi will continue to get chances to shine, and expect her to turn things around, too.
