As other members do serious interviews about their hopes for the Christmas lives, Nanako remains herself, carving out her own weird territory.

I also loved her appearance in the expanded Hiragana Omotenashikai, where she was brought in to help teach Iguchi Mao how to dance Silent Majority, since she herself had been almost as bad as Mao was when Kanji Keyaki started to learn it. She was so much herself, with her shy irony and easy amusement, her hidden smarts and seriousness, and wearing a "Bando ja Nai Mon" T-shirt. She's still the idol otaku she has always been.
