Not to forget the Memi-Kyouko feature in EX Taishuu:
Memi is not posting to her Message much, and hasn't posted to her blog for over two months. I think and hope she is maintaining her sanity by not thinking of the Ohisamas 24 hours a day, and by getting some private time to be a 17-year-old anime/game/idol ota -- and now back studying, in third-year high school.
But she did post to Message on April 1. First she said she hadn't mentioned it before, but she was actually born on Hokkaido. Fans spent the next hour scrambling around looking for information, then she posted: "No, that was a lie. April fool!"
Lol. This is the Memi who cavorted around in Kyouko's Showroom, hugging her from behind and tickling her. And the Memi who rushes up to Miho and sticks a finger in her ear, then runs away laughing. Members think of her as mature and realistic. But her father said when she was accepted into Hiragana: "I hope they realize how young she really is." And a free spirit.
Sky blue is a colour made for Memi.
ReplyDeleteMemi's eyes are amazing... like an old soul staring back at you, living her thousandth life...
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder what her mother looks like -- Memi definitely shares aspects of her looks with her dad... but just as many cannot be.
Memi's eyes are clear and open. She has the knack of making you feel she is really there, and really making contact with you through the camera lens. She has always looked straight into the camera more than most members. Now that the members have generally started doing that, too -- by imitation or by direction -- she still has more ability to make you feel she is really making contact. Maybe it's because she seems so calm, especially her eyes.
ReplyDeleteMemi's mother works in the family florist shop, and Memi used to go there after school and wait around among her relatives until time to go home for dinner. On GanaOshi, she once picked her mother as the person she most admired. Now I want to know more. I know from acquaintances that being married to an artist can be a trial....
