Tower Records gives huge push to Keyakizaka46 album

When the new album goes on sale July 25th, every Tower Records store in Japan will have an oshimen, and will feature her in store decorations and events.

A year ago, the then-manager of the Tachikawa Tachihi store decided to make Shida Manaka the store's oshi. Then he/she moved to the Ario Kawaguchi store and brought the custom there, while the previous store also continued. They collaborated a few months ago to establish the Kingdom of Mona. Customers got papers declaring them subjects of King Mona.

Now the president of the company has taken up the idea and spread it to all 74 stores. I'm so happy for the manager who first put the idea into practice. That's how an organization should work: good ideas rise to the top. Each store's oshimen was chosen by staff at the store.

Stores have a system set up for taking a picture of a customer "with" the oshi:

Techi is the oshi of the big Shibuya store and 6 others. Neru has more stores than anyone else, at 11. Others in the top five are Zumiko 7, Manaka 6, Pe 4.Members have stores in their home areas: Neru has Kyushu pretty well covered; Nijika and Akanen are in Sendai; Oda Nana in Shizuoka; Memi in Nagano (Ueda); Mao-chan in Niigata, etc. And Kage-chan, who's from Tokyo, has Hiroshima, home of her beloved Hiroshima Sanfrecce soccer club. Full list and map (in Japanese).

The stores will give away posters of the Type-A cover (folded if you order online, lol):

There will be a draw for posters signed by Akanen and Sugai:

Staff will wear special Keyakizaka x Tower Records green happi-coats:

And to top it all off, Tower Records Online will apparently sell the A- and B- types at 15% off (for a limited time).
