A week or two ago, Memi enthused on Keyaki Message about something good that had happened that day, something that you wouldn't believe, but that she couldn't then reveal. When there was a rumour a few days ago that Memi was in a new SakamichiAKB song, I thought that might be it. But apparently that rumour has evaporated. This two-day one-man live at the huge Makuhari Messe convention centre, however, is something amazing for Hiragana. This must be what Memi was referring to.

Keyaki management is really something. They have brought on board this sparkling 2nd generation of Hiragana, and the wotas are reaching heights of enthusiasm about them. Hiragana is higher in people's minds after the summer tours and performances, and the 2gens have jacked that up a bit more. So management seizes the moment and pushes this group out onto a bigger stage.

I was a bit upset at how well the 2gens were being treated, with early multiple appearances on Keyakitte, Kakenai. Now I see there was method in management's madness: this gives publicity to the whole group, as it prepares to try to fill Makuhari twice.

I'd still prefer something that brought prominence to Memi in particular, like an outside drama role or participation in a singing unit. But this is a big deal for Hiragana's future, and members apparently get a good sum of money from performances like these. So: you go girls!

The MV is enjoyable, although not as thrilling to me as I would like. Nice colours, good song, good singing, but I don't find the choreography that interesting. Kyonko is centre, with Memi close beside her and Takamoto Ayaka on her other side. Much as I would have liked to see Memi at centre, this makes great sense: Kyonko is the most popular Hiragana with the handshake fans who are likely to come to the concerts. And Aya's popularity is on the move. Memi is beautiful, and moves with such grace, but doesn't actually make a strong impression, it doesn't seem to me. I hope others see it differently.
