Good evening.
It's Kakizaki Memi.

The last Friday the 13th
Was May 13, 2016.
This is the first Friday the 13th in about eight months.

It appears the next one will be on October 13 (lol)

Has everyone seen the horror movie
Friday the 13th?

It's very enjoyable, I really like it  (о´∀`о)
Every time a Friday the 13th comes around,
I want to watch it again!

I have a stamp of a Jason mask.
I'll try it out (lol):

Keyakizaka46 members show support for university entrance examinees

About half a million Japanese students are taking the national public university entrance exams this weekend, and a number of Keyakizaka members have expressed concern and support for them.

No member has said she herself is taking the exam. This suggests that those who may be starting university in the spring have already secured places in private universities.

After no blog post for a month, Hirate Yurina posted for the second time in two days to express her support for the exam-takers, and her concern for their health during a chilly weekend in Tokyo.

Saitou Kyouko supported students with a hand-made fan bearing the slogan "certain victory."

Sugai Yuuka wishes exam-takers "a million-horsepower effort" in the exams. On this cold weekend, she recommends gloves, hand-warmers, and ginger tea.

Sasaki Kumi tells students to have confidence in themselves and do their best. She apologizes for getting personal, but admits that she herself took the tests, and says that although everyone around you looks so smart, they may not be. Do your best and you can succeed.

Good evening.

My post numbering got pretty sloppy,
I apologize for just going ahead and correcting it as if nothing had happened.

I've finally managed to do it  \( ˆoˆ )/

Recently, I tried IKEA for the first time.
I worried and worried over it,
But I bought some really nice shelves and lighting!

I was able to get something solid~
I'm one of those who won't buy if she's not sure.

Why do people end up wanting indirect lighting...
I somehow was looking at it with longing, too.

Hirate Yurina blog post -- Thank you!

I apologize for being late

2017.01.12

I'm sorry for taking so long to update.

This is late, but: "Happy New Year." [note: "akemashite omedetou gozaimasu"]

Last year was really a year full of things to be thankful for.

Thank you very much to everyone.
Please treat me well in the coming year.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the one-man lives on December 24-25.

I was able to learn many things.
Thank you very much.

The arena being all one colour of penlight was truly beautiful...

Green for SaiMajo.

Green for overture.

And more than anything, when I sang my solo of Shibuya kara PARCO ga Kieta Hi with the penlights all red, it was so beautiful, and gave me such a good feeling.

Thank you so much for doing this for me.

And then Kouhaku.

Thank you to everyone who watched.

I think again how grateful, and also how apologetic I feel
For being able to stand on such an amazing stage.

I'm feeling quite strange.

Even I don't know what it is.

In any case, I feel grateful.

I just want to loudly shout: "Thank you very much."

I will work hard again this year, so please continue to treat me well, such as I am.

All 32 Keyakizaka members make New Year shrine visit

All 32 members of Keyakizaka46 -- Kanji and Hiragana -- went together on January 6 for the traditional hatsumoude, the first shrine visit of the new year.

They went, wearing their current uniforms, to a Hikawa shrine in Nakano known as Numabukuro Hikawa Jinja 沼袋氷川神社.

Habu Mizuho (left) and Sugai Yuuka at the shrine

Last year they went to Nerima Hakusan Jinja 練馬白山神社, which is nearby and apparently under the same administration. That shrine has a famous large (but somewhat decrepit) keyaki tree in its grounds.

Sugai Yuuka said she remembered that when they went last year it was when they were so busy preparing for their early Omotenashikai.

This year, she drew the fortune "great good fortune" (大吉 daikichi). "I don't know how long it has been since I got that!"

The mouth of the lion-dog(?)!

I was surprised (;・ω・)

Naako: 'Yone-san isn't here yet.'

Today, I'm going on a lunch date with Yonetani Nanami (known as "Yone-san").

Yone-san arrives.

Yone-san: "Sorry I'm late."

Naako: 'Ah! She's here.'

Keyakizaka46 has two singles in the top ten

In the Oricon weekly chart just released, Keyakizaka46 has two singles in the top ten, Futari Saison (#3) and Silent Majority (#8).

Propelled by their appearance on Kouhaku, the Keyakizaka46 wave continues to roll. In the Oricon chart covering the period from 2 January to 8 January, Futari Saison (released 30 November) has risen back to number 3, selling 12,000 copies and raising its total to 524,000. For a new artist to break the 500K sales barrier within nine months of its debut shows remarkable strength, says an article on the Oricon website.

At the same time, Silent Majority, which was released about nine months ago, has risen from the already remarkable height of #18, back into the top ten at #8, selling 4657 copies, to lift its total to 388,000.

To put this in context, however, the Keyaki-chans' elder sisters, Nogizaka46, have seen their latest hit, Sayonara no Imi (released 9 November) also return to the top ten, at #7, making its total sales 937,000.

The piece on the Oricon website points out that Keyakizaka is getting support from young and old, from 18-year-old star actress Hirose Suzu (who has supported them on Twitter) to Yellow Monkey vocalist Yoshii Kazuya, 40 (who bought SaiMajo and Saison CDs and showed them off at Kouhaku). Weekly Oricon rankings for the CD have been 1 -5 - 3 - 13 - 5 - 3.

To cap all this off, the MV of Kataru nara Mirai wo..., a coupling song on the group's second CD, has just gone over 5 million views on YouTube. A coupling song!

In a further demonstration of Keyakizaka's widening popularity, the magazine Asahi Weekly, which is not a youth magazine at all, includes Hiragana Keyaki on its cover as one of the people and groups it expects to make 2017 a lively year. "Including Hiragana and not Kanji makes this journal for old men seem as if it is trying too hard to look smart." Probably so, lol. But they might also be right that Hiragana will make its own splash this year.

The Legend of Watanabe Rika

Here are some of the amazing moments in Berika's career. Mainly ponkotsu moments, but some mysteriously skillful moments. From 2channel, put together by a Japanese K46 news site, which called this: The Legend of Watanabe Rika.

It started on the very first day of their first training camp, when she left her suitcase in the train station and had to rush out to recover it (it was still there):
