The story began back on January 6, when egg-loving Naako bought an "eggling." That's an eggshell with soil in it and some seeds, with instructions on how to grow seedlings.

Suzumoto Miyu delivers a finishing blow to Keyakitte co-host Sawabe

Suzumoto Miyu put Keyakitte, Kakenai? co-host Sawabe Yuu in his place in this weekend's KeyaKake with a retort that may become her most famous saying.

The members wrote down what their goal for the year was. Miyu, for the second year in a row, wrote "beauty."

Co-host Sawabe said: "Deja vu! Beauty!"
Suzumoto: "It's the same goal, but there are areas in which I still feel I am lacking."
Sawabe: "Where, to begin with, do you want to be more beautiful?"
Suzumoto: "Inside and outside."
Sawabe: "Ah. Everywhere. But you're quite beautiful already."
Suzumoto (here it comes): "I don't think you know anything about me." The room exploded in laughter. Comments described it as "delivering a finishing blow."

Kakizaki Memi's goth-loli birthday celebration

Memi has made good on her promise to wear something like gothic lolita fashion to a handshake event. It was on Sunday at the Yokohama event, where she also had a birthday celebration (her actual birthday was back on December 2). I'll start with her own blog post about the day, then go on to describe the birthday festival in more detail.

Best story to come out of the Sunday Keyakizaka46 handshake event in Yokohama came from a 21-year-old fan calling himself "Dai-chan".

He was meeting Sasaki Mirei (who is 18) in her handshake line but somehow revealed that he also supported Kakizaki Memi.

Mirei: "So you like Memi-chan?"

Dai: "But I like Mirei, too!"

Mirei: "You're embarrassed! How cute!"

Dai: "What?"

Mirei: "You're really embarrassed. It's cute."

Dai: "Well, I'm ashamed."

Mirei: "You're cute. Come again, okay?"

Dai: "Uh, yes. I'll come again."
